Strategic Lebanon

Lebanon appears on the map as a small sliver of land at the Eastern basin of the Mediterranean and marks the coastal entrance to the Levant. It was first mentioned in literature in 2100 BC. Lebanon is an ancient place and has hosted some of the great epics of history. Modern Lebanon, now an independent and free nation, is no less strategic and in our view is again positioned to play an important role in the work of God in the Arab world.

When we first came to Lebanon, the Lord ministered the passage in 1 Corinthians 16:8-9 (NLT). In the meantime, I will be staying here at Ephesus until the Festival of Pentecost. There is a wide-open door for a great work here, although many oppose me. On our first trip to Beirut, all our ministry was within 1 mile of where we were staying. In contrast, at the end of June, we helped organize CLUB1040’s ladies meeting that brought churches from all over the country together. Recently we were invited to a church in the south of Lebanon. In order to go to this area, we must have special permission from the military. The Lebanese Pastor, who works a secular job, spent a day in government offices to get permission for our whole family valid for 6 months!

We are seeing this country opening up for us – and as it does, we believe the nations around us will too! As with any opportunity though, we must be ready to seize it. The reason a door is opened is so that something or someone can go through. There is an ever wider opening door in Lebanon, and together, we can seize it!

You can take part in this! We are believing God to join people with us who will give between $10 and $100 per month. This helps us stay in Lebanon and seize this opportunity open to us.
