The Importance of Children's Ministry in the Middle East

WE ARE NOT ALONE IN WANTING TO REACH CHILDREN

Islam puts a premium on teaching children. This photo is of an outreach to children - but not a Christian ministry. This outreach, which took place in the busiest and most expensive part of Beirut, was aimed at children from 1st to 4 grade to teach them about Ramadan. There were costumes, free food, and even life-sized puppets.

There are many ministry opportunities in Lebanon. We have been blessed to organize and participate in several during our time here. However, we are not the only ones that see and are seizing these opportunities.

Because of this, we are working to influence the Lebanese church to not relegate Children's ministry to babysitting - or even just Sunday School (which for many here means an actual school with study and tests), but to raise up successive generations of Born Again believers that own a personal encounter with our Great God!

You can be part of this! Pray that we continue to have open doors and platform to speak into the hearts of the leadership here. You can join with us in organizing other ongoing children's ministry - not only in GoChurch Beirut but in Lebanese evangelical churches around the country.
