GO ALL IN

Nothing great results from a lack of commitment. I suppose all of us have at one time or another been challenged to go further, do more, and reach new heights. In this season of New Year's resolutions - let me encourage you, GO ALL IN!
That is easy to say, but what does it mean? For Julie and I, going all in is more than just relocating our family to the Middle East. Going all in, means letting go of anything that is not propelling us forward in the plan of God for us. Again, though, I believe it is all too easy for that statement to remain cliche or platitude.
The way our family got to be full time on the mission field was from our home church lobby. Before we knew anything about the opportunity to reach the unreached from Beirut, before we had any idea about launching Churches in Lebanon - we made a commitment to Go All In.
How? We don't have to guess about what God wants us to do with our time, energy, and resources. Jesus said, "...I will build my church..." What is He doing today? He is building the Church. So, to get involved with what God's will - what He is doing, we got involved in our local church. Every place they said they needed people, we volunteered as best we could. When the Pastor announced a project, we made it a priority to give to that project financially. I don't mean to hold us up as having been the perfect church members; but we worked to keep the church, its schedule and projects as our priority. In doing this, we kept our family in the center of what God is doing in the Earth; and in the process, we positioned ourselves to be moved by God to the mission field.
When we don't go all in, sometimes under the banner of balance, we are, in fact, holding back our own provision and victory. For Julie and I we are living our best and most exciting days - but that is because we let go of everything else. The disciple Peter learned that there was a limit to his commitment. The question I would challenge you to ask yourself is: what is the limit to your commitment? How high will you go in God in 2018?
Find out in your church how can you increase your effectiveness to that body so that the Body of Christ increases in its effectiveness in the Earth.
Remove the limits - Go All In, and together we can reach the unreached.
Happy New Year!
